Tuāpapa — A Space to Pause and Reflect
On 9 May we will gather again for Tuāpapa — a day designed to create space for reflection, kōrero and connection.
Tūāpapa means the foundation you stand upon, physically and metaphorically.
TŪĀPAPA: Your Place to Stand is a one-day immersive wānanga grounded in the principles of Te Whare Tapa Whā, designed to strengthen your mind, body, spirit, and connection to whānau and taiao (the natural environment).
Held in the powerful natural setting of Muriwai, this experience brings together tikanga, practical wellbeing tools, and physical practice to help you reset and reinforce your foundations.
We begin together with pōhiri, waiata, kai and shared intention.
Throughout the day you will move between physical, mental and reflective practices including haka, breathwork, cold plunge and sauna, gratitude practices, and guided journaling. Each element is designed to help you steady yourself, reconnect to what matters, and build tools you can carry into everyday life.
This is not about quick fixes or surface-level inspiration.
It is about strengthening hookup grounded strength, clarity and calm under pressure.
You don’t leave changed.
You leave reinforced, grounded, clear, and ready.
